This pioneer on the female DJ-circuit and a super model, Megha recently added the title of producer with her debut album, DJ Megha Radioactive- Blue and Green. The video of a song Thoda as The hero from the album is already on air. Four famous models Fleur Xavier, Nina Manuel, Dippanita Sharma and Jesse Randhawa, friends of Megha make this video sizzle on screen. I am totally into club music, desically anything that can make people dance. I wanted to make something commercially viable. Right now is a good time to experiment with music. Since Bollywood has such a severe influence on people I have mixed such songs in a clean fashion. I didn’t want to put too much in to each track. Simple music is the trend which started in 2007 and will go well into 2008. The songs in my album can be simply put as simple soothing and yet high on energy, Megha told DNA West coast about her album. The album cover features a sensational picture of Megha. It includes nine Bollywood electro tracks. Her music is set to defy boundaries set by electronic music genres. She incorporates electronic music genres .she incorporates elements of house, R&B, swing, bhangra, reggae, rap and disco with traditional music. Megha seems to live by the motto variety is the spice of the production of the album and the video as well as arranging people to work and the finances for this musical piece. Priced at Rs. 125 for each CD, Magha says she has kept the price reasonable and promises that it is value for money. I just want everyone from every generation to enjoy my music. That is the sole purpose of my album. I wanted to make complete control of this product, inform Megha who even went to America to learn about special software called Abbleton which helps one mix and create sounds, beats and add effects to music. She says that she has started receiving offers to produce songs and is planning to research her second project decides planning out some live shows. This DJ who has made a mark as a model admits, if I went by my parents wishes I would have been a doctor. People have a certain set perception of models and DJs But I am just a normal girl next door once you get to now me. I am no hippy, I am just normal and most people find that really cool. I think I have set the mark of what a female DJ should be like cool, classy, sweet, and elegant. Some people tell me good looking and I am a model. These people don’t realize that there are a lot of beauties out there but not all of them can become DJs. I have only used my looks of my album cover so far. I would have not been able to reach where I am today had it not been for my parents. In the begging it did shock them. When work was really pressurizing me, I ran to my father for consolation. He also said that I could leave it all and do it anything that has has really helped me- you can either sit and cry or fight back and come 5out. This has stuck on with me. The basic thing that I have learnt is if a girl wants to really do something in this male dominated world she needs her parents support. Megha parents allowed her to follow her passion on one condition that she completed her studies. She surprisingly took on a major in history and shocked everyone by scoring a first class despite studying last minutes and having a hectic schedule. What Megha boast about is not having a wild lifestyle, wild set of friends, or picking up bad habits like smoking and drinking. She says, I am high on life .I never do any injustice to what I do. People come to forget their blues, work problems, relationship problem, and family
